Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use TicketsData.com or the TicketsData API.

Last updated: June 1, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how TicketsData.com ("TicketsData", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our website or use our API services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

TicketsData is a B2B data and analytics platform. Our primary users are businesses, developers, and professionals accessing our API. We take data privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to operate and improve the Service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account information: name, email address, company name, and authentication details you provide when creating or managing an account.
  • Billing information: payment details and billing history, handled securely by Stripe. TicketsData does not store full card numbers or payment credentials directly.
  • API usage data: API keys, call volumes, quota consumption, rate limit events, endpoint usage patterns, IP addresses, and timestamps. This data is tied to your account and used for billing, security, and service improvement.
  • Technical data: browser or client type, device information, operating system, and session logs collected when you access the dashboard or website.
  • Communication data: emails or messages you send to us via support, contact forms, or direct email.
  • Cookies and tracking data: small data files used to enhance usability, remember preferences, and analyse traffic. See Section 9 for more detail.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal data, we rely on the following:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service you have subscribed to, including account management, API access, and billing.
  • Legitimate interests: security monitoring, fraud prevention, abuse detection, service analytics, and product improvement, where these interests are not overridden by your privacy rights.
  • Legal obligation: compliance with applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements.
  • Consent: for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where we request your consent explicitly.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Process subscriptions, manage billing, and handle payments through Stripe.
  • Monitor and enforce API usage quotas and plan limits.
  • Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, trial misuse, and unauthorised access, including automated pattern analysis of usage data.
  • Communicate with you regarding account activity, billing updates, service changes, and support requests.
  • Improve API performance, reliability, and the overall user experience.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

TicketsData does not sell personal data. We share information only where necessary to operate the Service, with the following categories of trusted third-party processors:

  • Payment processing: Stripe securely handles all billing, subscription management, and card information.
  • Cloud infrastructure: cloud hosting and data centre providers supply the infrastructure used to operate, store, and deliver the platform.
  • Security and alerting: internal security systems may route alert data — including IP addresses and account activity flags — to internal notification tools (including Discord webhooks) for abuse detection and incident response purposes.
  • Analytics and monitoring: performance and reliability monitoring services that help us maintain the platform. These receive only aggregated or pseudonymised technical data where possible.
  • Email delivery: transactional email providers used to send account notifications, billing receipts, and support responses.
  • Legal compliance: when required by applicable law, valid court order, or government request. We will notify you of such requests where permitted by law.

All third-party processors are contractually required to handle personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and to use it only for the purposes we specify.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Specifically:

  • Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after account closure, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
  • Billing records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for financial and tax compliance purposes.
  • API usage logs and technical records may be retained for up to 12 months for security, analytics, and dispute resolution.
  • Data deletion requests will be processed within 30 days of receipt, subject to any legal retention obligations that prevent earlier deletion.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls restricting data to authorised personnel, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure and processes.

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify affected users without undue delay and within the timeframe required by applicable law, and will take immediate steps to contain and remediate the incident.

8. International Data Transfers

TicketsData uses global infrastructure and service providers. Your data may be processed or stored in multiple countries, including the United States and the European Union. Where data is transferred across borders, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms — to maintain adequate protection of your personal data.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies in the following categories:

  • Essential cookies: required for the Service to function, including session authentication and security tokens. These cannot be disabled without affecting core functionality.
  • Functional cookies: used to remember your preferences, settings, and dashboard state between visits.
  • Analytics cookies: used to understand how the Service is used, which pages are visited, and how users navigate the platform. This data is aggregated and used to improve the product.

You can disable non-essential cookies through your browser settings or via any cookie consent mechanism we present. Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using parts of the Service.

10. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: request that inaccurate or incomplete data be corrected.
  • Deletion: request deletion of your personal data. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Restriction: request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible.
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests where your rights and interests override ours.
  • Withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@ticketsdata.com. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request.

11. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services not operated by TicketsData. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or policies. We encourage you to review the privacy statements of any third-party sites you visit.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that such data has been provided, we will delete it promptly.

13. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on the platform. The latest version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
