The same squeeze in the last three days before the event.
Typical price up while the number of tickets on sale holds flat.
Tickets are selling and not being replaced, while prices hold.
Prices up even though more tickets were listed: sellers are testing higher asks.
No meaningful move in typical price or tickets on sale.
Typical price easing without a jump in supply.
Many more tickets listed while prices stay flat.
Typical price down while more tickets come on sale.
A large block of new tickets arrived, usually a new release or added sections.
A price jump with no matching change in supply. Kept out of the rankings.
Every day we record two numbers for each upcoming event on the secondary market: the typical resale price, which is the median listed price, and the number of tickets listed for resale. Each event is compared with its own figures up to seven days earlier, so a stadium tour and a small club show are judged on their own terms.
Using the median instead of the cheapest ticket means one bargain seat selling cannot swing the signal. Events with fewer than 20 listings are left out, sudden price jumps with no change in supply are flagged as unusual and kept out of the rankings, and multi-date runs such as Broadway shows or residencies appear once with the number of dates moving together.
The Market Pulse Index is the share of moving events that are warming. It is 55 today across 46,851 events with enough data, and tracking started Oct 10, 2026.

How is the Market Pulse Index calculated?
For every upcoming event we record the typical (median) resale price and the number of tickets listed, every day. Each event is compared with its own numbers up to seven days earlier. Events with a rising price and shrinking or flat supply count as warming, events with falling prices or a pile-up of new tickets count as cooling. The index is the share of moving events that are warming: 50 is balanced, above 50 the market is heating up.
How often is the ticket market pulse updated?
The full pulse is rebuilt every day and a frozen weekly report is published every Monday. Events happening in the next three days are refreshed every hour, so the selling-out list stays current.
Can I use these figures in an article?
